The MAXI POWER SAILING is one of the biggest professional regatta racing boats ever built and our excursions are directed at active men and women of all ages, with an interest in new experiences.

MAXI POWER SAILING

At the beginning of the excursion we explain the boat and its history and inform the guests where to sit best, how to move on the boat and what to do during the manoeuvers. After that, we’ll visit the boat’s interior and proceed to prepare for the sail. The guests may participate in the sailing operations or even take the helm for some time or they can just sit back and relax.

On the lookout for dolphins and whales we will sail along the coast of Jandía with its even, turquoise waters, enjoying the performance of the boat and the stunning views of the coast. Towards the end of the trip and weather permitting we may have a short stop for a swim. The excursion lasts aprox. 3 hours and there will be drinks and a fruit snack.

With its length of 25 meters the boat guarantees smooth sailing and the deck – up to 6 meters wide – provides ample space to move around freely which adds to the wellbeing of our clients.

The MAXI POWER SAILING is one of only six regatta boats built with these dimensions and sailing power and came second as “Fisher & Paykel” in the 1990 Whitbread Round-the-World Race (nowadays Volvo Ocean Race). In the 2011 Volvo Ocean Legends Race in Alicante the boat reconfirmed its singular status and is nowadays the only active boat of this historical series in the whole world.

Our captain, Joaquín “Kino” Quiroga, is a well-known figure in the world of international regatta sailing, having participated two times in those famous round the world races and in countless other international regattas. His presence on the boat is an added value for the lovers of sailing and his competence and friendliness make him a remarkable host. The experience of past years shows an overwhelming acceptance of this product and the limitation to 25 passengers assures the quality and exclusivity of this excursion. And talking about exclusivity: the chances of sailing on a boat like this anywhere else in the world are extremely remote…
